TINY WREN HIDING FROM THE SLEET & COLD

TINY WREN HIDING FROM THE SLEET & COLD

Today, when I got home it was very, very cold and sleeting.
As I walked into the house, I glanced out of the window and saw this tiny wren in the portal of my mosaic birdhouse on the ground.
It was good protection from the sleet.
It must have been digging for bugs nearby and just hopped in when it started sleeting.
After it cleared up a bit, I saw it fly out and continue foraging.
I love wrens.
 They're such happy little birds.

  1. Oh how sweet that little wren. I love my birds and hummers. I have so many bird houses and they never seem to every nest in them. They prefer my jasmine bush.
I am now following this blog - stop by and see my gardens.

    1. Thank you, that was a gift and I love that little birdhouse. We don't usually get so many cold days like we've had, so far. Last winter, very few things in my landscape froze. This winter is very different. Austin gets a little colder than here. I bet you will LOVE living in Austin and the cost of living is so different from California.
