DO YOU KNOW ABOUT "BUNNY BLOOM" LARKSPUR FLOWERS?

Some larkspur flowers are beautiful rosettes.
And then there are "bunny bloom" larkspur flowers.

(click on the pictures to enlarge the bunnies)

If  you look closely, the center of the flower is truly shaped like a bunny's head and ears.
And, it's amazing that it's always blooming at Easter time.

It's always fun to share this with my friends who visit my garden.
They are as amazed as I am.
Have you noticed your bunnies, before?

    1. Yes, most of the people I share them with have never seen the bunny. A bouquet of them is really special. The pink flowers have a white bunny. The white flowers with the white bunny are just beautiful and you can still see the bunny.

  4. Yes, especially when there is a whole flower bed of larkspur in pinks, purples and white.

  5. As a child I grew up with this very special flower which seemed to grow wild in my grandmother's garden. She had white, pink and purple mixed together and they grew beautifully. Needless to say my grandmother passed away and so did her flowers. I never knew what the correct name of this flower was until this past week that I found the purple ones at a Wal
Mart in College Station, TX while visiting my daughter. I was overwhelmed by thoughts of my grandmother and her beautiful garden. I bought four pots of these beauties and I hope to grow them in abundance like my beloved grandmother used to.

    1. How sweet! One of the larkspur plants has round flowers. The bunny bloom looks different from round and has the bunnies. I googled bunny bloom larkspur/images and it shows the two different flowers. So glad you found them. They will throw seeds and come up late fall. Thank you for sharing your memory. Lynda
